Chapel:
We never used the chapel, but is very quaint and lovely.

Reception Venue:
Stunning stunning stunning - no complaints. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a location in KZN, its beautiful.

Service from management and co-ordinators:
I never had to lift one finger, everything was done and it was done just as i has asked it to be done. Wade, the owner went out of his way and did everything himself, amazing man, amazing venue.

Service from waiters/waitresses:
Waiters were used outside to serve starters on trays in the garden and they were very efficient, cleaning up and taking away side plates from guests. They were also very happy and pleasant to everyone.

Photographic opportunities:
The gardens are stunning. The dam at the bottom with the forest is beautiful so there are plenty locations for gorgeous photography. Not to mention the actual venue itself; the bridal suite is out of this world, the staircase and balcony are all just beautiful.

Food:
Everyone commented on how delicious the food was. It really was cooked very well.

Bridal Suite:
Beautiful four poster bed with linen to die for, bed like a huge marshmellow that swallowed you up. Heaven honestly.. And so stylishly decorated with a corner Jacuzzi bath and beautiful furnishings.. Really a gorgeous room, i felt like a princess.

Honeymoon Suite:
Left on the Sunday for our honeymoon in Knysna.

Accommodation:
The other suites are also super cosy and comfortable. They also have gorgeous linen and stunning beds. Self catering with tea and coffee.

Added extras:
Champagne and fruit basket in the bridal suite for wedding night.

Overall:
This venue was the first one we saw and we booked it immediately, no other venue would create the feeling that i was looking for like Calderwood did. Not only is the location and surroundings stunning but the service was excellent. Wade becomes your friend and from that point on, you don't have to do anything except feel like a princess.. Really, i have no words to describe how Wade made my wedding day a dream come true - we now consider this special man our friend. Even the night before, he allowed us to take over the place, we packed our own food and cooked in the kitchen at Calderwood. Over the weekends there are no other guests except those for the wedding so its a very private affair - we loved that the most.. exclusively ours!!!
