The Oyster Box in Umhlanga Rocks is legendary, cherished and loved as a venue for celebrating weddings, honeymoons and other milestone occasions, creating memories that last a lifetime.

Personal Service
Our dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator, together with the hotel’s internationally experienced and committed Banqueting Team, provides passionate and meticulous attention to every single detail from menu choice, table design and floral decoration, to the wedding cake, photography and music; traditional and cultural requirements are also taken into consideration.

Venues
The Pearl Room, elegant and sophisticated with Venetian glass chandeliers, has stunning views of the iconic lighthouse and Indian Ocean and is the perfect reception venue for larger celebrations. The room can also be used for the wedding ceremony if required.
Capacity: Maximum seating for 120 guests including the top table

The Shell Room, with hues of blue reflecting the ocean outside, is ideal for small to medium-sized celebrations or combined with the Pearl Room, provides a larger function area.
Capacity: Maximum seating for 30 guests and 50 standing

Pre-reception drinks can be taken in the stylish Oyster Bar on a non-exclusive basis.

The romantic Victorian Gazebo, secluded in the lush, tropical gardens, is magical for the wedding ceremony and can be decorated to suit each particular occasion, colour scheme and style.
Capacity: Maximum seating for 100 guests and 20 standing

Through-out the hotel and including the beach and lighthouse, picture-perfect settings create idyllic backdrops for capturing each and every moment of your special day.

The vintage cream Oyster Box Rolls Royce is available for photographs or transport in and around Umhlanga (at an additional fee).
