How he popped the question:
It was Valentine's day 2007. Exactly a year since we met. We went to my favourite restaurant in Sandton. I could tell that he's nerves were making him sweat. But I thought, hey he won't propose today, its to soon. But as this romantic evening took its toll, he went to "order cake for dessert". He looked at me with tears in his eyes & I couldn't say no. It was perfect!
The Dress:
Bought at Bride & Company.
The Suit:
Black suit & copper waistcoat & cravat, bought at Euro Suit.
The Bridesmaids Dress:
Family friend designed the dress.
Colour Scheme:
Ceremony: Gold & Brown / Reception: Black, White & Silver.
Flowers:
Ceremony: Sunflowers/ Reception: Various white flowers, all done by Rustics Floral & Decor Design.
The Transport:
None required. Dressed & had the Ceremony & Reception at same venue.
The Ceremony:
In an old wine cellar.
The Reception:
In the farmstyle Dutch house. Old & Rustic. It was amazing!
The Cake:
3 tier elegant, fruit cake. All white.
Favours:
Silver wire boxes with chocolates.
Decor:
Elegant-romance. Silver candelabra's, black & white overlays, silver accessories.
Music:
DJ - Friend of a friend
The Honeymoon:
Thailand.
Brides Tip:
Enjoy the day. Its over to soon & no one notices if anything's amiss!
Special Moments:
Every minute of that day, but I can't forget the feeling during our first dance.
