Greenfields is a working cattle farm with the most extraordinary historic homestead and stables to be found anywhere in the Midlands. We invite you to share this wonderful venue with us for your special day.

The façade of this magnificent building, now a spectacular wedding venue, is clearly visible from the R103 as one climbs the hill from Mooi River to Rosetta, in the rolling hills of the Kwa-Zulu Natal Midlands. Greenfields is testimony to a bygone era, when men had the vision and the wealth to indulge their dreams by creating gracious homesteads.

This charming country venue is situated just off the N3, a four-hour drive from Johannesburg, one a half hours from Durban, and under an hour from Pietermaritzburg.

Our wedding venue can accommodate 200 guests, with roaring log fires in winter, and plenty of space for dancing. Our chapel can seat up to 150 guests – there is no charge for the use of the Chapel. There is also an option of having the ceremony under a huge old oak tree in the Manor House garden, overlooking our luscious green pastures. We want to fill your wedding with as much of the beautiful countryside as we can.

We have a choice of menus, either plated or buffet, which we would be happy to discuss with you. We are very flexible when it comes to the menus as we are willing to make changes to suit your tastes and budget. Please contact Isla or Coffee for copies of the various menu options.

There are a number of options for the bar (i.e. limited bar, full bar or cash bar) and we will accommodate your requirements. Wines and Champagnes should be selected ONE month prior to the wedding to ensure that stocks are available. Corkage will be charged at R40.00* per bottle on wines brought in.

The accommodation available in the Manor House is:

4 double rooms with queen-size or twin beds.
1 family suite with a king-size bed and twin beds.
1 cottage with a king-size bed and twin beds.

The Manor House sleeps a total of 16 persons.

We require that at least the wedding party book 5 of the rooms in the guesthouse for the night prior to, as well as the night of the wedding, thus allowing you exclusive use of all the facilities for the weekend of your wedding. This is not a necessity but we would prefer it. We will be happy to recommend other guesthouses in the area for the overflow of family and friends who would like to stay in the area for your wedding. There are a number of very comfortable establishments in close proximity to Greenfields.
